Say Thank You!!
I encounter this every now and then and it just blows my mind.
Girls, if i hold the door open for you, SAY THANK YOU!! I was raised to show respect, I will hold the door open for you, give up my seat for you, do all the old fashioned things not because I am looking for something in return, but because its the right thing to do. Just the other day when getting my morning coffee, while leaving the store there was a woman heading in, with hot coffee in hand, I did an uncomfortable maneuver to hold the door open for her. Walked right past me, without the slightest acknowledgement to my kind act. I said in a rather loud annoyed voice, YOUR WELCOME. Only then did she say Thank you.
on a side note to everyone. While driving, if I let you in front of me in traffic, give me the hands up wave thank you thing for crying out loud. Kthx.
