So I finally saw Avatar over the weekend. Chose the Digital RealD 3D version over IMAX, and i was not disappointed. This really is a great movie, technically and story. Even though its a tried and true plot line (Dances with Wolves) it is still very engaging. The pacing is spot on and you never feel like you just sat through a 3 hour long movie. Matter of fact, i was disappointed when it did end. Visually stunning to say the least, not sure how they will release this on blu ray/DVD seeing as home TV’s will not be able to do the 3D justice. But the movie is good enough where it shouldnt matter much. Its just a fun and very cool movie to escape into.
